No Post, “VGA BIOs”.
September 16th, 2008
Last Tuesday I received my Newegg order for my hot new PC. I spent a few hours cleaning my case and putting together the machine, I power up the new machine and I would get no display. After spending the rest of the week trying to figure out what was wrong or if I have recieved a dead item, I narrowed the problem down to the graphics card. During boot, my LCD poster would hang at “VGA Bios” followed by 1 long and 3 short beeps (Video Error). I swapped out the new graphics card (VisionTek ATI 4870) with the one my previous system was using (ATI x800) and everything worked perfectly!!! After spending countless hours trying to get the card to display something on boot I ended up filing an RMA with Newegg and I should be recieving it tomorrow. What a pain…

Hey man, that’s unfortunate. I just kind of started blogging again too (we’ll see how long it lasts..) and I wrote up something related to PC building by coincidence. I also went through my links and stumbled onto this page by coincidence.
